2020 Self-Directed Solo 401(k) Contribution Deadline has Been Extended for Texas Storm Victims

Updated: Apr 23, 2021

According to an IRS news release on February 22nd, “[Texas] Victims of winter storms that began February 11, 2021 now have until June 15, 2021, to file various individual and business tax returns and make tax payments…” (https://bit.ly/3sE8xu6). This relief applies to all of Texas’s 254 counties and its “affected taxpayers”. The list of “affected taxpayers” automatically includes anyone who resides or has a business located within the Texas disaster area.

See below for an exclusive offer to help our fellow Texas-based businesses.

As a result, affected individuals and businesses that now have until June 15, 2021, to file returns and pay any taxes that were originally due during this period, also have until June 15 to make 2020 Solo 401k contributions and IRA contributions.

To take advantage of this extension for Solo 401k contributions, the plan must be adopted and contributed to before the June 15 tax filing deadline (plus extension).

As a Texas-based business that was affected by this winter storm, Nashional Self-Directed would like to help our fellow businesses located in Texas by offering an exclusive discount on our Self-Directed Solo 401(k) plan adoption fee. Mention this blog post during your consultation and receive a $250 off* promo code for your plan set-up fee.

*This offer is for those with a principal place of business in Texas, and it must be applied to a purchase between March 3rd and June 1st, 2021.
